Preparing for your spray tan

The more prepared you are for your spray tan, the better result you will achieve.
For best results we recommend exfoliating your body using a mitt or scrub 24 hours before your appointment. Be sure to pay particular attention to the knees, feet, backs of your ankles, hands and elbows where the skin is thicker and sometimes dry.
If you are trying to remove an old spray tan, we suggest scrubbing in a warm bath for at least 20-30 minutes. There are also a range of spray tan removal products available to assist with removing any residue from your previous spray tan.
Be sure to complete any hair removal procedures at least 24 hours prior to your spray tan. This is important so as your skin is smooth to allow for better absorption of the spray tan solution.
Avoid using oil-based products immediately prior to your tan, as spray tan solution is water-based. Gel based body wash or a good old fashioned bar of soap is preferable to body washes that are extra creamy or moisturising.
What to Wear
Even though your spray tan will dry quickly, it’s important to let your skin breathe as much as possible after your appointment in order to achieve best results.
We suggest:
Loose, dark coloured clothing. Nothing that may increase rubbing such as tight boots or denim and preferably thongs, slides or sandles for your feet.
We recommend arriving for your appointment free of make-up, deodorant and perfume if you can, however we do have face wipes on hand if you need them!
We appreciate that it’s not always easy to get naked in front of a complete stranger and if this is your first spray tan, we understand you may feel slightly anxious or nervous. Rest assured we are not here to judge you, we are here to provide you with a professional service and we aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible throughout your spray tan service.
Upon arrival we will leave you to undress in private. While many people like to be completely naked, others prefer to wear a G-string, bikini or underwear. If you do prefer to wear underwear you are welcome to wear your own. Alternatively we can provide you with a disposable G-string to wear during your spray tan.
